Horton Township Municipal Building

Animal Control

Horton Township has contracted the services of an animal control officer with Municipal Law Enforcement Services Inc. to carry out all aspects of animal control within the Township as per Horton Township By-law No. 2014-34. This includes the regulating of the keeping and control of dogs, the licencing and restraint of dog. This by-law does not regulate the control of cats in the Township.

Building

A Building Permit Application and attached forms must be completed prior to obtaining a building permit. Building Permit Application packages are available at the Municipal Office or Online. To submit a completed application electronically, please email ndubeau@hortontownship.ca or cbo@hortontownship.ca.

Planning And Development

The Township of Horton’s Planning Advisory Committee is comprised of Council Members and meets during the Regular Council Meeting on the first and third Tuesday of each month.

The Township utilizes the services of the County of Renfrew planners to assist them with various planning matters.  The planners also provide a pre-consultation service to residents of the Township (or their agents) when they are proposing minor variances or consents as well as official plan or zoning by-law amendments and new subdivisions.
